**Pakistan Airports Authority Strengthens Security Measures at Multan International Airport Ahead of Saudi Aviation Inspection**

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is intensifying security protocols at Multan International Airport (MIAP) in anticipation of a review by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). The Director Security of PAA visited the airport to assess current security arrangements and oversee ongoing enhancement projects.

During the visit, the Director Security chaired a high-level meeting attended by the Chief Operating Officer/Airport Manager (COO/APM), Chief Security Officer of the Airports Security Force (CSO ASF), Officer Commanding Security of Pakistan Air Force (OC Security PAF), and PAA sectional heads. The COO/APM delivered a detailed briefing outlining existing security measures, ongoing challenges, and planned upgrades aimed at further strengthening the airport’s safety infrastructure.

The inspection included key areas of the facility, notably the Terminal Building, Facial Recognition System (FRS) Room, Cargo Complex, and the recently established ASF Shared Screening Room. Each location was reviewed to ensure compliance with both domestic and international aviation security standards.

This visit underscores the PAA’s commitment to maintaining rigorous security protocols across Pakistan’s airports, particularly as the country prepares for international scrutiny from aviation authorities such as GACA.
