Islamabad Police Officer Ali Nawaz Receives Hero’s Welcome After Winning Silver at World Police Games

Islamabad police officer and boxer Constable Ali Nawaz received a hero’s welcome upon his return to Pakistan after making history as the first Pakistani police officer to win a silver medal at the World Police Games 2025, held in the United States.

Ali Nawaz was greeted at Islamabad International Airport by AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani and a large gathering of police officials, who warmly celebrated his achievement. As a constable in the Islamabad Police, Nawaz’s accomplishment has brought pride not only to the force but also to the country.

In recognition of his outstanding performance on the international stage, Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, invited Nawaz to his office, expressing pride in his courageous and talented officer. “Ali Nawaz has earned glory for both Pakistan and Islamabad Police on a global level. We are proud of our brave and talented officer,” Rizvi said.

As further acknowledgment, the Inspector General presented Nawaz with a cash prize and an honorary shield. He also affirmed that Ali Nawaz would continue to receive full support from the department to participate in future international competitions. The achievement highlights the growing role of Pakistani law enforcement in sporting events worldwide, serving as an inspiration to others in the force.
