Alibaba.com has recognized Pakistan’s leading e-commerce exporters and announced a significant upgrade to its Trade Assurance service, aimed at strengthening the global competitiveness of local businesses. The company honored the country’s top entrepreneurs at the KEL Awards 2025 ceremony in Sialkot, with business leaders and industry experts in attendance to celebrate the achievements of Pakistani exporters who have expanded their reach using the Alibaba.com platform.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of Trade Assurance 2.0, an enhanced service tailored to the needs of Pakistani exporters. The upgraded features include lower transaction fees, free withdrawals, higher order and credit limits, and expanded payment options. These changes are designed to streamline international trade for local businesses, offering them greater security and flexibility as they pursue global growth.
Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain Services at Alibaba.com, highlighted Pakistan’s strong potential as a supplier market, pointing to the country’s diverse range of products and proven production capabilities. Gao emphasized that the new Trade Assurance 2.0 would help Pakistani suppliers by reducing costs, improving credit access, and enabling them to secure higher-value orders on the world stage.
The KEL Awards 2025 ceremony spotlighted six top-performing Pakistani e-commerce businesses, with finalists sharing insights into the strategies that have driven their success. Winners were recognized in both the Global Trade Innovators and E-commerce Export Masters categories, reflecting excellence across fields like apparel and surgical goods. This year’s top honors went to Muhammad Usman Humayun of Gray Rocks Enterprise, Haider Ali of IMPEX Pakistan, and Muhammad Azam Rahmat of Mangoes Fashion. The People’s Choice Award, chosen by audience vote, went to Muhammad Wasim of Blue Hands International.
Judges from leading business organizations and industry experts, including Omer Khalid (Vice President of SCCI), Sayyed Ahmad Masud (Project Director of the National Incubation Center Islamabad), Usman Chughtai, Berry Ma, and Summer Gao, evaluated the finalists to select the winners.
Berry Ma, Head of Pakistan Business at Alibaba.com, described the KEL Awards as a celebration of the innovation and resilience of Pakistan’s small and medium enterprises, noting that the platform is dedicated to helping local businesses succeed and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
Among the finalists, Muhammad Azam Rahmat’s journey with Mangoes Fashion illustrated the transformative impact of e-commerce. Starting a small garments company in 2020 with limited resources, Rahmat leveraged Alibaba.com’s platform, gaining a Verified status that gave the business necessary credibility. This move opened access to international buyers, and Mangoes Fashion went on to achieve over 200 percent annual growth, securing major orders across North America, Europe, Australia, and Canada.
The rapid growth of Mangoes Fashion, from a two-person operation to a global exporter, underscores the opportunities created when local businesses adopt digital tools. Such success stories were a highlight of the KEL Awards, inspiring other entrepreneurs to harness technology in reaching global markets.
Finalists in this year’s event included Muhammad Wasim (Blue Hands International), Haider Ali (IMPEX Pakistan), Usman Asif (Moytei Sports), Muhammad Azam Rahmat (Mangoes Fashion), Imran Iqbal Bajwa (Producing Peak), and Muhammad Usman Humayun (Gray Rocks Enterprise).
