ALSO Workshop at CPSP Multan Updates and Highlights

An Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) workshop was successfully held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan Regional Centre in Multan, bringing together senior instructors, consultants and 21 participants, mostly from Southern Punjab. The event combined in-person teaching with an online address from the CPSP president, and concluded with a group photograph.

The workshop was organized by the CPSP Regional Centre Multan and led by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tayyab, Council Member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. A team of senior faculty from various cities across Punjab served as instructors, and several senior consultants also participated, contributing clinical expertise to the sessions. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tayyab formally opened the proceedings.

Twenty-one candidates attended the course, representing primarily Southern Punjab. The program aimed to update clinicians on essential obstetric life-support skills through hands-on instruction and interactive teaching.

President of CPSP Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal addressed the workshop remotely, reporting on academic developments and collaborative activities from his recent visit to the United Kingdom. He commended the organizers for the event’s arrangements and praised participants’ enthusiasm for professional development.

The workshop concluded with a group photograph to mark the occasion.
