Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi held an orientation session at its Sub-Campus Attock to welcome newly admitted students and introduce them to university rules, academic programs, campus resources and student support services. The event, attended by senior university leadership, emphasized the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, modern facilities and a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
The session was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, along with the Registrar, Deans, Directors and other principal officers of the university. Officials outlined the university’s expectations and resources available to students at the Attock sub-campus.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman highlighted the university’s goal of fostering a stimulating academic environment that encourages innovation and personal growth. He expressed gratitude to the Chancellor/Governor of Punjab, the Government of Punjab and the District Administration Attock for their support, and reaffirmed PMAS-AAUR’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities and an inclusive atmosphere where students can pursue their ambitions.
During the program, the Registrar, deans, directors and other senior staff provided faculty-specific briefings and introduced key policies and support structures. Information desks were set up across faculties and institutes to offer personalized guidance, while faculty and administrative staff remained available throughout the day to answer questions and assist new students with their transition.
Local community representatives welcomed the university’s initiatives, noting that the presence of the sub-campus will make higher education more accessible to students in the area and strengthen educational opportunities within the city.
