Australia and Pakistan Strengthen Human Rights Collaboration

The Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr. Neil Hawkins, held a meeting with Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, to discuss continued collaboration between the two countries in the promotion and protection of human rights. Secretary for Human Rights, Mr. Abdul Khalique Shaikh, also attended the discussion.

During the meeting, both parties reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of human rights. Emphasis was placed on advancing shared values such as inclusion, equality, and respect for human dignity. The discussions underscored the importance of ongoing engagement between Australia and Pakistan to address human rights challenges and support progress on key issues.

The officials agreed to maintain an open dialogue and explore new areas for joint initiatives aimed at strengthening human rights protections in both nations.
