Azadi Festival Celebrates Pakistan Heritage and Patriotism

Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture Division in Islamabad, attended the Azadi Festival and “Marka-e-Haq” event at Lok Virsa as the chief guest. The festival highlighted Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, bringing together traditional arts, music, and tributes to national heroes.

During her visit, Ms. Akbar toured stalls featuring a wide array of traditional handicrafts and cultural attire, showcasing the country’s diverse heritage. In a gesture of respect and solidarity, she was presented with a traditional Sindhi Ajrak, symbolizing cultural pride.

The event embraced a vibrant cultural spirit through lively brass band performances, traditional folk dances, and melodic music sessions. A key highlight was the “Marka-e-Haq Azadi Concert” as well as a folklore theatre presentation by renowned artist Fazal Jutt, honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs commemorated by Marka-e-Haq.

The festival blended patriotic themes with cultural expression, delivering a resonant message of sacrifice, freedom, and national unity that inspired all attendees.
