Bahria University Islamabad hosted laptop distribution under the Prime Minister's National Laptop Scheme, delivering 1,426 devices to students to boost digital learning.

Bahria University Islamabad Campus hosted a laptop distribution ceremony under the Prime Minister’s National Laptop Scheme (Phase IV), with the Honourable Rector Vice Admiral Abid Hameed HI(M) as chief guest, joined by senior dignitaries, faculty members and students. The laptop distribution event highlighted institutional and national efforts to widen access to essential digital tools.

The Prime Minister’s National Laptop Scheme, delivered through the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and implemented by the Higher Education Commission, targets high-achieving students enrolled in public sector higher education institutions across Pakistan. The initiative underscores the government’s push to support talent and learning at university level.

In an increasingly digital and AI-driven academic landscape, personal computing devices are vital for research, innovation and advanced learning. Under this phase, 1,426 laptops have been allocated for Bahria University students across all BU campuses, equipping recipients with resources for remote study, project work and access to online academic platforms.

Organisers and attendees expressed appreciation for the national initiative, noting that the laptop distribution will empower youth, strengthen academic outcomes and expand access to modern educational resources across Bahria University campuses.
