**Balochistan National Workshop Delegation Visits National Emergency Operations Centre**
Participants of the Balochistan National Workshop visited the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) headquarters, where they received a detailed overview of the centre’s advanced disaster management capabilities.
During the visit, NEOC officials provided the delegation with a comprehensive briefing highlighting the centre’s robust approach to early warnings, proactive preparedness, and risk communication strategies that connect with global networks. The briefing emphasized NEOC’s commitment to building resilience by incorporating international best practices in disaster response and management.
Attendees were also introduced to NEOC’s state-of-the-art systems for monitoring disaster-prone areas. The centre utilizes global data layers, satellite technology, and cutting-edge software solutions to track and assess risks in real time. These technologies enable authorities to issue timely alerts and coordinate effective responses to natural disasters, particularly during critical periods such as the monsoon season.
The visit underscored the importance of strengthening early warning and preparedness capacities in Balochistan and across Pakistan, ensuring communities are better equipped to respond to natural hazards.
