Bari Imam meeting unites leaders in Islamabad to strengthen consultations and advance public welfare through coordinated political action.

The Bari Imam meeting in Islamabad brought together prominent political and social figures at the shrine of Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar to discuss the country’s political situation, public welfare and organisational priorities. Participants held detailed conversations on social service projects and collective steps to address pressing public issues.

Present at the gathering were Khadim-e-Ala Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar, Baba Kulu Sarkar Mansehr Sharif, Raja Sarfaraz and Akram, who were joined by senior Pakistan People’s Party leader Chaudhry Riaz. Also attending were Dr. Riaz Janjua, Rana Aqeel and other notable political and social figures from the capital region.

Delegates discussed the current political climate, organisational affairs and plans to expand social service initiatives. There was broad agreement on the need to strengthen mutual consultations, maintain regular contact among stakeholders and accelerate efforts aimed at public welfare.

Raja Sarfaraz stressed that the country requires unity, tolerance and determined leadership. He said leaders must rise above personal interests and adopt a common strategy to resolve the problems facing the public. His remarks underlined the meeting’s emphasis on collective responsibility and practical solutions.

Participants highlighted Chaudhry Riaz’s long-standing focus on public politics and his organisational work in Kashmir and Punjab. Observers at the meeting noted that, if entrusted with full organisational responsibility for Central Punjab, Chaudhry Riaz could revitalise party activity and make it more dynamic across the province.

The meeting concluded with a joint group photograph taken at the shrine, an image that has drawn attention in political and social circles. Sources indicate that further consultative sessions are likely in the coming days as follow-up to the Bari Imam meeting and to advance the agreed public welfare agenda.
