Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad, where the two leaders discussed recent developments and expressed condolences over a family bereavement in the Prime Minister’s family. The meeting saw participation from senior political figures from both parties, highlighting ongoing engagement between major political stakeholders in the country.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was accompanied by Senator Sherry Rehman and Member National Assembly Asifa Bhutto Zardari. During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari offered his condolences to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif over the passing of his cousin, Mian Shahid Shafi. He also prayed for the departed soul and for patience for the bereaved family. In addition, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reached out by telephone to Javed Shafi, the elder brother of the deceased, to extend his sympathies directly.
The gathering included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for the Public Affairs Unit Rana Mubashir Iqbal, and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah. Also present were Minister of State for Food Security and Research Malik Rasheed Ahmed Siddiqui, Minister of State for Power Division Abdul Rehman Kanju, Member National Assembly Saira Afzal Tarar, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Talha Burki.
