The National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) has conducted an accreditation assessment, known as a Zero Visit, for Sukkur IBA University’s newly launched Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (BS-AI) program. This evaluation marks a significant milestone ahead of the program’s inaugural intake, which is set to commence in the upcoming fall semester.
During the visit, the NCEAC team, led by Convener Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, carried out a comprehensive review of the program. The assessment included a thorough inspection of the curriculum, a focus on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) teaching practices, and a review of recent departmental achievements. The team also toured the university’s infrastructure, including laboratories, classrooms, and the library. Meetings were held with key academic leaders, such as Dean Professor Dr. Sher Muhammad Daudpota and Head of Department Professor Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Shaikh.
The council provided positive and constructive feedback, highlighting the university’s robust academic standards and well-developed facilities. This recognition reinforces Sukkur IBA University’s commitment to maintaining high standards in computing education as it prepares to welcome the first cohort of students to the BS-AI program, aiming to help shape the future of artificial intelligence education in the region.
