**Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vows Support for Builders’ Sector Amid Regulatory Challenges**
A delegation from the Builders Association, led by President Sardar Khurshid Ahmed Khan, visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss avenues for mutual cooperation and to highlight pressing concerns within the construction sector. The meeting underscored the business community’s unwavering commitment to national development and efforts to address the challenges faced by builders and developers.
During the discussion, Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, President of ICCI, reiterated the Chamber’s dedication to serving as an effective bridge between the private sector and government authorities. He emphasized that despite various obstacles, entrepreneurs remain steadfast in their goal of national progress, while ICCI continues to advocate for policies that ease business operations and promote economic growth.
President Qureshi assured the visiting delegation that ICCI would actively pursue the resolution of specific issues confronting the builders’ community, particularly those involving the Capital Development Authority (CDA). He pledged the Chamber’s support to help foster a more efficient and supportive environment for builders and developers to operate.
Speaking on behalf of the builders’ sector, Sardar Khurshid Ahmed Khan highlighted significant regulatory challenges, especially those relating to the CDA. He emphasized the Association’s willingness to comply with all standard operating procedures and its commitment to work collaboratively with regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and efficiency in the sector.
Senior Vice President ICCI Abdul Rehman Siddiqui and Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry also briefed the delegation on various initiatives launched under President Qureshi’s leadership to facilitate the business community. They affirmed the Chamber’s determination to provide robust support to builders and developers through effective representation and problem-solving.
The visiting delegation included prominent members Basharat Gujjar, Gulfraz, Aftab Kazmi, Malik Changeez, Malik Shahbaz, and Yousuf Khattak. ICCI Executive Member Aftab Ahmed Gujjar was also present at the meeting, further demonstrating the Chamber’s collaborative approach to addressing sector-specific concerns.
