CDA Approves Three New Agencies and Projects in Board Meeting

CDA Approve New 3 Agencies

In a CDA board meeting chaired by Noorul Amin Mengal, the civic authority’s chairman, three new agencies were approved – Building Control, Horticulture and Solid Waste Management. Additionally, the transport policy and planning of commercial areas in Zone IV, direct access to the Nilore Height Project from Lehtrar Road, and the integration plan of Gandhara Heritage and Culture Centre with Citizen Club in F-9 were also given the go-ahead.

The board also consented to a summary for auctioning land and structures in the Arts and Craft Village. However, two controversial summaries were rejected. One related to the trade of plot allotted for a tea house in G-6-2, and the other to sub-division of agro farms.

Regarding the tea house plot, the board members believed that there was no justification for another commercial centre adjacent to the National Market, a class 3 shopping centre of the CDA. However, the allottee could run the tea house and other food-related businesses. As for the agro farms, the board members disapproved of the sub-division, as the remaining area was meant for producing agricultural produce. The sub-divided plot would mainly be used for housing instead of agriculture and poultry products.
