The Capital Development Authority continued its public auction of residential and commercial plots at the Jinnah Convention Centre on 23 December 2025, with total sales reaching PKR 14.809 billion over the first two days. The auction process is being overseen by the Chairman of the Auction Committee and Member Finance Tahir Naeem alongside committee members, drawing significant investor interest in Islamabad plots.
On the second day the highlight was Plot No. 12 in Sector D-12 Markaz, which fetched PKR 1.04 billion, while Plot No. 284-A in Sector F-10/3 sold for PKR 24.60 crore. Together these transactions accounted for roughly PKR 1.28 billion of sales on day two, underscoring continuing demand for Islamabad plots across central and established sectors.
Major transactions from the first day included the sale of Plot No. 15 in the Blue Area (F-8/G-8) for PKR 3.52 billion and Plot No. 17 in the Blue Area for PKR 9.15 billion. In the Orchards Scheme on Murree Road, Plot No. 37-C sold for PKR 42.20 crore and Plot No. 37-D for PKR 42 crore, demonstrating buyer appetite for both commercial and residential opportunities among Islamabad plots.
The auction will remain open until 24 December at the Jinnah Convention Centre, with plots of various categories offered to investors. To encourage investment, the CDA has introduced investor-friendly measures: commercial plots paid in US dollars receive an additional 5% discount and a 5% discount is available for lump-sum payments made within 30 days of bid approval. These measures are expected to further stimulate demand for Islamabad plots among domestic and foreign buyers.
The CDA is also providing practical facilitation: building plan approval can be obtained after an initial 25% payment and physical possession of a plot is available after 75% payment. All received bids will be thoroughly scrutinized and presented to the CDA Board, which holds sole authority to approve or reject auction results.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said revenue from the public auction of residential and commercial plots will be allocated to the construction, development and beautification of the Federal Capital, reinforcing the connection between these sales and Islamabad’s urban development priorities. The ongoing auctions of Islamabad plots therefore form part of a broader plan to fund city improvement projects while providing new investment options in the capital.
