CDA Board to Approve Revised Layout Plans for Housing Schemes

CDA

The planning wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has been directed not to approve revised layout plans (LOPs) for housing schemes without the approval of the CDA board.

This decision was made to discourage illegal housing schemes and to bring improvement in the working of the planning wing.

CDA Form High-Powered Committees to Monitor Development

The chairman secretariat issued a letter stating that all approvals related to the revision of LOPs will be placed before the CDA board for approval.

This decision was made because the operators of many housing schemes have been misusing LOPs, selling land meant for green areas and other amenities, and violating LOPs. In addition, there are many housing schemes that do not have approved layout plans and are being developed without compliance with any rules and regulations.

The CDA approves NOCs of housing schemes after a thorough process. The civic agency issued notices and took action against illegal schemes.

One Constitution Avenue Marketing and Sales Department is sealed by the CDA.

The CDA also constantly issues warning alerts and public announcements through media and its website, requesting people and investors not to invest in illegal housing schemes.

Lists of all illegal and legal housing schemes have already been placed on CDA’s website to help citizens.

Overall, this decision will help improve the transparency and legality of housing schemes in Islamabad, protect the rights of buyers, and prevent the misuse of LOPs
