CDA Form High-Powered Committees to Monitor Development

City managers have established four committees to tackle issues faced by citizens, investors, and builders. These C will meet once a month and are called the Sector Development Monitoring Committee, Monitoring Committee for High-rise Projects, Housing Schemes Monitoring Committee, and Rehabilitation Committee. The Sector Development Monitoring Committee, headed by the CDA chairman, will oversee and decide issues related to the development of sectors in Zones I and II. Meanwhile, the Monitoring Committee for High-rise Projects, Housing Schemes Monitoring Committee, and Rehabilitation Committee will focus on monitoring high-rise projects, housing schemes, and rehabilitation projects respectively.

Committees to Address Delays in Sector C

At least five sectors, including E-12, I-12, C-14, C-15, have slow development progress, while several others remain undeveloped due to pending compensation cases. The Sector Development Monitoring Committee will examine and decide matters related to land acquisition, compensation, built-up property, and infrastructure development, among others. Additionally, the committees will address issues related to the development of parks, maintenance, and budget allocation.

Committees to Monitor High-Rise Projects, Housing Schemes, and Rehabilitation Projects

The Monitoring Committee for High-rise Projects will examine and decide cases of high-rise projects and schemes, while the Housing Schemes Monitoring Committee will oversee the layout plans, allotment of plots, and recovery of outstanding dues. The Rehabilitation Committee will scrutinize claims and grievances of landowners, and make recommendations regarding the allocation of funds for rehabilitation projects.

Chairman Mengal Aims to Resolve Chronic Issues

The chairman will preside over these committees to address the complaints of citizens, developers, and investors. According to an official of the CDA, the formation of these committees was in response to complaints received on a daily basis. He claimed that all genuine issues would be resolved through the committees within a few months.
