CDA, ICT and Islamabad Police demolish illegal constructions near Quaid-e-Azam University

CDA's Anti-Encroachment Drive

The administration of Quaid-e-Azam University requested assistance from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to remove illegal constructions near the university’s gate. With the help of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and the Islamabad Police, several encroachments were demolished using heavy machinery.

As a result of the operation, more than 25 kanal of state land was recovered from illegal occupants. The operation involved the demolition of 83 illegal shops, two newly constructed houses, and two boundary walls built on state land.

CDA has been conducting continuous operations against encroachments and illegal constructions in the Federal Capital for several months, resulting in the retrieval of state land worth billions of rupees.

The CDA is also providing support to various institutions to eliminate encroachments from land allotted to them. The operation at Quaid-e-Azam University was carried out in the same context.
