Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal recently held a significant meeting with leading pediatric experts to discuss children’s health and the national immunization program.
During the session at the minister’s camp office, Kamal was joined by Professor D.S. Akram, former president of the Pakistan Paediatric Association and senior pediatrician as well as chair of the HELP NGO. Also present were Professor Khalid Shafi, chair of the National Immunization Technical Advisory Group and associate professor at Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi, along with Professor Mohsina Ibrahim, secretary general of the Pakistan Paediatric Association and professor at the National Institute of Child Health Karachi.
The discussion focused on strengthening efforts to protect children from preventable diseases and improve vaccination coverage across the country. The experts shared their recommendations and highlighted the importance of collaboration between health authorities, pediatricians, and non-governmental organizations in advancing child health initiatives.
