A Chinese business delegation from the China Pakistan Production Equipment Procurement Organization Committee visited the FPCCI President Office to discuss ways to deepen economic and industrial cooperation. The delegation met with FPCCI President Atif Akram Sheikh and senior federation officials to explore procurement of Chinese production equipment and expanded collaboration in Pakistan’s industrial sector.
During the meeting the two sides agreed to promote purchases of manufacturing equipment from China and to enhance practical industrial cooperation. Emphasis was placed on leveraging Chinese technology to upgrade local production capacity and on aligning joint efforts under CPEC to establish shared industrial zones that can drive regional manufacturing growth.
Atif Akram Sheikh underlined that the industrial sector plays a central role in any country’s economic development and said Pakistan and China can further strengthen industrial cooperation. He noted that coordinated projects and transfer of modern technology can help position Pakistan as an economic hub in the region.
FPCCI participants included Kareem Aziz Malik, Chairman Capital Office, and Malik Sohail, Chairman Coordination FPCCI, among other federation members. The meeting conveyed a mutual desire to deepen ties based on respect and shared interests, with practical steps toward procurement and joint initiatives.
The Chinese delegation consisted of senior industry executives including Chairman Shansi Kian High Emergency Industry Mr. Yao River, Chairman Ningxia Emergency Industry Group Mr. Yong Yang Peng, and General Manager Mr. Liu Zhigang, along with other representatives. Both sides agreed to continue discussions to convert dialogue into concrete projects that reinforce industrial cooperation and boost bilateral economic links.
