A delegation of leading French higher education institutions visited Pakistan for the fourth edition of Choose France Pakistan, organised by the Embassy of France in collaboration with Campus France Pakistan. The initiative aimed to strengthen academic ties and present concrete study options for Pakistani students.
Student fairs held in Karachi and Islamabad attracted more than 1,000 participants, where French representatives provided guidance on study programmes, scholarship opportunities and career perspectives. The events offered students a chance to discuss course options, admissions requirements and post-study pathways with institutional delegates.
More than 100 student volunteers from top Pakistani universities supported the delegation on site, helping to facilitate discussions and share local insights. Their participation was highlighted as an important contribution to building mutual understanding between the two academic communities.
One-to-one institutional visits to Pakistani universities enabled detailed conversations on academic cooperation, curriculum alignment and research partnerships. Several new agreements are expected to be signed soon, opening the door for student and faculty exchanges as early as the next academic year.
A press conference at the French Residence reiterated the central role of Campus France Pakistan as the official governmental platform for students wishing to study in France and outlined practical steps for applications, visas and scholarships. Organisers stressed the long-term benefits of closer collaboration for both countries.
Four years after its launch, Choose France Pakistan has become a key milestone in bilateral academic cooperation, building bridges and creating new opportunities for the next generation of Pakistani students interested in higher education in France.
