General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), represented Pakistan at the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF-2025) in Istanbul, Türkiye, where he held high-level discussions with Turkish officials, including the Minister of National Defence, General (Retd) Yasar Guler.
During the event, General Mirza engaged with prominent defence leaders and experts from around the world, focusing on strengthening Pakistan-Türkiye defence collaboration. The meeting with Türkiye’s Defence Minister underscored both countries’ commitment to deepening military and strategic cooperation, as well as exploring further joint ventures in defence production and technology transfer.
IDEF-2025, one of the region’s premier defence exhibitions, provided an important platform for Pakistan and Türkiye to discuss regional security challenges and bilateral defence interests. General Mirza’s participation highlighted Pakistan’s active engagement in international defence forums and its ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with key allies such as Türkiye.
