**Denmark Partners with Aga Khan Foundation to Support Vulnerable Communities in Thatta Facing Climate Change**
The Danish Ambassador recently visited Thatta to inaugurate the SCRIP project, a new collaborative initiative between Denmark and the Aga Khan Foundation aimed at strengthening the climate resilience of local communities. The partnership comes as Thatta faces increasing challenges from climate change, with rising floods and declining crop yields putting the region’s most vulnerable populations at risk.
During the launch event, officials underscored the critical need for targeted climate adaptation efforts in frontline communities. The SCRIP project seeks to equip residents with the tools and resources necessary to cope with the impacts of extreme weather, build resilience, and safeguard their livelihoods for the future.
The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to climate action, emphasizing community involvement and sustainable development. By standing in solidarity with those most affected, Denmark and the Aga Khan Foundation aim to foster a greener and more robust future for Thatta and similar regions threatened by a changing climate.
