CME Mock Examination Held at KEMU Mayo Hospital

CME Mock Examination at King Edward Medical University and Mayo Hospital prepared FCPS-II Medicine candidates with real clinical exam experience.

Under the auspices of the Department of West Medical Ward at King Edward Medical University and Mayo Hospital, a one-day Clinical Medical Excellence CME Mock Examination for FCPS-II Medicine was held to simulate the standards and structure of real clinical assessments and to familiarise candidates with the examination environment.

The CME Mock Examination evaluated theoretical knowledge, clinical reasoning, effective communication and procedural skills through OSCE stations, multiple-choice questions and case-based scenarios that emphasised diagnosis, treatment planning, patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Participants were able to assess their preparation, identify shortcomings and reinforce continuous learning, critical thinking and decision-making, while practising the implementation of updated clinical guidelines essential for high-quality patient care.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University acting as Patron-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Asghar Naqi, Registrar KEMU, and Dr. Abdul Muzabbar Rehan, COO Mayo Hospital, along with a wide range of senior faculty and medical educationists.

Senior faculty who actively participated included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran, Prof. Dr. Israr ul Haq, Prof. Dr. Imran Hassan Khan, Prof. Dr. Samina Saeed, Dr. Rabia Rathore, Prof. Aftab Mohsin, Prof. Tariq Waseem, Dr. Somia Iqtidar, Dr. Hina Latif from FJMU, Dr. Wardah Hameed, Dr. Anam Bangash, Dr. Mubeen Raza, Dr. Nasir Farooq Butt, Dr. Sumaiya Shabbir, Dr. Umer Khalil, Dr. Farrukh Ghias, Dr. Hassan Mehmood, Dr. Madiha Abbas, Dr. Abdul Rauf and Dr. Raja Noman.
