Committee Formed for Kiosk Allotment and Open Space Management in Islamabad

Captain Noor Ul Amin Mengal, Chairman Capital Development Authority, has established a committee to establish a structured system for the allocation of kiosks in Islamabad. The committee comprises of the Director of Urban Planning, Deputy Director of Master Plan, and Director of DMA.

The committee’s task is to identify appropriate locations for kiosk construction that aligns with the Islamabad Master Plan. Furthermore, kiosks will be leased through an open auction process on the recommended sites.

Before this, there was no established system for kiosk allotment in Islamabad. To enhance the city’s aesthetics, kiosks will be built using a specific design.

In addition, a committee was also established by Chairman Captain Noor Ul Amin Mengal for the allocation of open spaces in the city. The committee includes the Director of Urban Planning, Director of Coordination, Director of Estate Management II, Director of Enforcement, and SP Traffic. Similarly, the committee will identify locations where open space allocation will not create any difficulties for traffic or pedestrians.
