Islamabad: A complaint regarding the alleged treatment of a female student at the Federal College of Education has drawn attention to the manner in which student-related matters are handled at the institution.
According to the written complaint, the student, who had completed her B.S.Ed, approached the college administration to seek an update on her case. She alleged that during a meeting she was reprimanded and that remarks were made about her parents, which she considered inappropriate.
Responding to the complaint, Dr Nadia disputed the studentโs account and maintained that the prescribed procedure had not been followed. She said she was present at the college at the time and stated that the studentโs thesis was incomplete, which led to her being reprimanded.
The two sides have presented different versions of what transpired during the meeting. On the basis of the available information, it cannot be determined whether the student was treated improperly or whether the collegeโs response was linked solely to an academic or procedural matter.
As the Federal College of Education is part of the federal education system, the relevant authorities may examine the available record, hear both sides and establish the facts through an impartial review.
