Constable, Two Private Accomplices Arrested in Rawalpindi on Kidnapping, Extortion Charges

CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said corruption and misuse of authority would not be tolerated.

RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has taken notice of a citizen’s complaint, after which Constable Mohsin Zia and his two private accomplices were arrested from the CPO Office following an inquiry in which the allegations were found proved.

According to details, a case of kidnapping and extortion has been registered against the suspects at Chaklala police station. The police constable was posted at the same police station.

The citizen had complained that the police official and his two accomplices abducted him after threatening to register a case against him, and later released him after taking money.

CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said corruption and misuse of authority would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said police officers and personnel must remain careful in their conduct and performance of duty.

The CPO said there was zero tolerance for corruption or any injustice against citizens. He added that a challan would be submitted in court with solid evidence against the suspects.
