Consul General meets Brilliance Foundation to advance education, capacity building and mental health initiatives in Pakistan and explore a university MOU.

Mr. Amer Ahmed Atozai, Consul General of Pakistan in New York, received representatives of the Brilliance Foundation at the Consulate, led by Chief Executive Officer Ms. Kulsum Kazi, to discuss closer cooperation on education and community-focused programmes in Pakistan.

Discussions centred on collaboration in education, capacity building and community-oriented initiatives, with particular attention to promoting educational development and mental well-being. The Consul General expressed appreciation for the Brilliance Foundation’s work in structured engagement and partnerships that support student development and psychosocial support services.

Ms. Kulsum Kazi shared insights from her recent visit to Pakistan, coordinated with the Consulate General, during which she engaged with a range of educational institutions and health-related departments to identify opportunities for joint initiatives in educational capacity building and mental health awareness.

Participants highlighted a proposed partnership with the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which has formally indicated its intent to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Brilliance Foundation. The proposed MOU envisions cooperation on student training and capacity building, professional development engagements and knowledge-sharing workshops aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and community support.

The Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to facilitate meaningful linkages between Pakistani institutions and international organisations that contribute to human capital development and social well-being in Pakistan. New York 14 January 2026
