Tanveer Asghar Awan, Controller Examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, conducted inspections of multiple examination centres during the Intermediate Part II annual 2025 exams. During the visit to Government Islamia High School No 4 on Liaquat Ali Road, candidate Waqar Hussain, roll number 819304, was caught red-handed engaging in exam cheating in the mathematics paper. On the controller’s orders the case was immediately registered and forwarded to the board office discipline branch for further proceedings.
The controller also inspected Government Graduate College Satellite Town Rawalpindi and Government Associate College for Women F Block, where he reviewed CCTV coverage and other security arrangements to ensure integrity at test centres. These checks form part of routine supervision to deter malpractice and strengthen measures against exam cheating across Rawalpindi.
Speaking after the inspections, the controller reiterated full implementation of the Punjab zero tolerance policy and said aggressive action will continue to dismantle organised cheating networks, adding that no one will be allowed to violate exam SOPs.
