COTHM Islamabad & Rawalpindi Hosts Annual Convocation Ceremony 2025

Islamabad, November 06, 2025:
The College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) Pakistan & Dubai proudly organized its Annual Convocation Ceremony 2025 in Islamabad today, marking a momentous celebration of academic excellence and professional achievement.IMG 20251106 WA0023 The event honored the graduating students from diverse disciplines, including hospitality, culinary arts, baking & patisserie, travel, tourism & airline operations, food, nutrition & safety sciences, and life skills.

COTHM, since its inception in 2002, has remained a trailblazer in hospitality and tourism education, offering internationally recognized qualifications and practical training. With more than 55,000 graduates successfully serving in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industries worldwide, the institution continues to lead Pakistan’s efforts toward building a skilled and globally competitive workforce. Operating through 20+ campuses across Pakistan and one in Dubai, COTHM stands as a symbol of quality education and professional excellence.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, commended COTHM’s contribution to vocational and professional education in PakistanIMG 20251106 WA0019. She underscored the vast potential of the country’s tourism industry and emphasized the importance of hospitality education in unlocking new avenues of employment and entrepreneurship. Ms. Qamar encouraged graduates to apply their skills not only to secure promising careers but also to play their part in the nation’s economic development.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished Guests of Honour, including the Ambassadors of Sri Lanka, Charge d’Affaires of Canada and Indonesia, Managing Director of PTDC, leading industry professionals, academic leaders, and government officials from both public and private sectors.

During the ceremony, graduates were awarded diplomas and certificates in recognition of their dedication and hard work.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ahmad Shafique, CEO of COTHM, reaffirmed the institution’s vision of expanding hospitality and tourism education nationwide. He emphasized the transformative power of skill-based learning in empowering Pakistan’s youth and driving sustainable socio-economic progress.
