Court Denies Pre-Arrest Bail to Private Housing Society Management

Islamabad : Officials from a private housing society were taken into custody after a local court denied their request for pre-arrest bail on Monday.

The individuals, including Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Salman Akbar, Safeer Akbar, Ammar Zafar, and Chaudhry Masood, who are owners and management officials of the society, were named in five FIRs filed by plot purchasers for cheating, forgery, and using forged documents.

The police arrested the five owners/directors of Ghauri Town housing society as a result. The plot purchasers had booked plots in a new sector of the housing society back in 2012-13, but the management did not deliver the plots to them.

CDA Board to Approve Revised Layout Plans for Housing Schemes

The affected buyers, who were serving and retired government officials, were finally given possession of the plots in 2021. However, the accused were unable to come to a settlement with the complainants, and the court rejected their petitions for pre-arrest bail.
