A delegation from the Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) held a meeting with Mr. Muntazir Mehdi, Prosecutor General of Sindh, to discuss departmental nominations for prosecutor training sessions and explore opportunities to support the Justice Sector Support Program.
During the meeting, CPDI representatives emphasized the importance of enhancing skills and capacities among public prosecutors to ensure efficient justice delivery and effective legal proceedings. Both parties discussed potential nominations from the prosecution department for upcoming training programs, which are aimed at equipping prosecutors with updated knowledge and practices.
Mr. Mehdi expressed his commitment to strengthening the Sindh prosecution service and underscored the need for targeted and specialized training, reflecting contemporary legal standards and challenges. He appreciated CPDI’s initiative in supporting capacity-building programs, acknowledging their potential contribution to strengthening the criminal justice system in Sindh.
