FOSPAH and KP Police convene on the Harassment Act to improve victim support, complaint transparency and women's desks for safer workplaces.

An interactive session at the Central Police Office Peshawar brought together FOSPAH’s Assistant Registrar Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police leadership, AIG Gender Ms. Anila Naz, women police officers, senior officials, legal experts and women representatives to discuss implementation of the Harassment Act.

Participants examined measures to strengthen victim support, ensure transparent complaint registration and adopt safer workplace practices. The dialogue referenced national and international frameworks to underline the need for accountability and robust professional support for survivors under the Harassment Act.

Ms. Anila Naz emphasised the KP Police commitment, led by IG Zulfiqar Hameed, to empower women through the expansion of dedicated women’s desks and targeted policing measures that better protect female staff and complainants. The session highlighted practical steps for improving complaint handling and interagency coordination.

The meeting also marked a renewed collaboration between FOSPAH and KP Police aimed at creating equitable, harassment-free workplaces across the province. Stakeholders agreed to continue joint efforts to translate the principles of the Harassment Act into concrete protections for women in public service and law enforcement.
