DAMAC delegation meets Pakistan IT minister to discuss PropTech Pakistan, tokenization and digital inclusion to boost investment and showcase tech talent.

Islamabad, 7 January 2026 — A high-level delegation from Dubai’s DAMAC Properties, led by members of the Sajwani family, met Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja to discuss collaboration across Pakistan’s digital and PropTech sectors.

The minister framed the talks within Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Digital Nation Pakistan vision, highlighting ongoing reforms designed to build an inclusive, innovation-driven digital economy. She underlined recent progress in women’s financial inclusion under the Ramadan Package, noting that 500,000 women were digitally onboarded through BISP by opening digital wallets in one month.

Discussions focused on outsourcing opportunities and the recognition and deployment of Pakistan’s tech talent, with both sides emphasising the country’s ready pool of young professionals. The delegation explored how PropTech Pakistan initiatives and tokenization can unlock savings, increase liquidity and improve operational efficiency across real estate and financial markets.

The DAMAC delegation included Ameera Hussain Sajwani, Co-Managing Director of DAMAC Group and CEO of Prypco; Syed Zeeshan Shah, Chairman of ONE Group; Aqib Hassan, Chief Commercial Officer at One Homes; and Joseph L. Um, General Manager Tokenisation at Prypco. Delegation members praised Pakistan’s youth talent and the nation’s digitization framework, expressing confidence in investment and technology-led growth potential.

Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to facilitate global partnerships, enable innovation and create a conducive digital environment to attract international investment. Both sides agreed to continue engagement to translate dialogue into practical PropTech Pakistan collaborations and technology-led projects that support economic inclusion.
