RAWALPINDI, Dec 2, 2025 — In a keynote address at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said Pakistan’s economy has stabilized and is now on a clear trajectory toward sustained growth, marking a significant phase in the country’s economic recovery.
The event was presided over by Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi as the chief guest, and Barrister Danyal praised business leaders as the “backbone and heart” of the government’s economic agenda. He contrasted the current climate with the situation upon taking office, saying, “When we assumed office, Pakistan was facing severe economic challenges. Today, after a focused period of stabilization, we are not just walking; we are building the momentum to run.”
Acknowledging that some difficult fiscal measures were unavoidable due to earlier international commitments, he emphasized that these policies are now being managed by a competent team focused on long-term health rather than short-term fixes. “As our recovery gains speed, we anticipate a more favorable business environment with eased fiscal pressures,” Barrister Danyal projected, underlining the expected benefits for trade and investment as economic recovery accelerates.
He pointed to the turnaround at Pakistan Railways under Minister Hanif Abbasi as tangible evidence of broader institutional revival and said the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry remains central to regional commerce. Barrister Danyal pledged continued collaboration with the chamber, stressing that a resilient Pakistan depends on strong public-private partnership and the continued success of the business community in supporting the ongoing economic recovery.
