Barrister Danyal Chaudhry Says Pakistan’s Youth Will Defeat Terrorism at Annual Sports Day Event
ISLAMABAD – Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, has hailed Pakistan’s youth as the nation’s strongest asset, declaring that the next generation will lead the country toward peace and defeat terrorism through education, discipline, and positive character. He made the remarks while presiding as Chief Guest at a major Annual Sports Day event held at the Islamabad Sports Complex, which drew energetic participation from students, parents, teachers, and dignitaries.
Addressing a large gathering of young athletes and their families, Barrister Danyal praised the students’ passion, teamwork, and discipline, describing them as the true future of Pakistan. He drew a firm link between sports, knowledge, and the national effort to eradicate extremism, stating that the development of confident, educated, and ethical youth is central to national stability.
“Today, witnessing the passion and potential of these young minds, I can say with certainty: these children will defeat terrorism,” he said. “The Westminster Education System and our nation have invested in our kids, and we are going to fight terrorism through the knowledge and positive character inculcated in these fresh minds.”
He highlighted that many Westminster graduates have earned international distinctions and represented Pakistan with pride on global platforms. Such achievements, he noted, showcase the peaceful, capable, and progressive face of Pakistan that the country seeks to present to the world.
The event showcased an impressive range of sports activities, including acrobatics, karate demonstrations, track races, and coordinated team performances. These displays, he said, reflect the institution’s commitment to developing confident, physically fit, and well-rounded students.
Barrister Danyal noted that sports events are a central pillar of Westminster’s broader youth development strategy. “When we see such talent and determination, we know Pakistan is in safe hands,” he said. “Our commitment is to provide a peaceful and progressive environment where this potential can flourish without fear.”
In his concluding remarks, the Parliamentary Secretary reaffirmed the national resolve against extremism, underscoring the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s security forces. “Our forces have made immense sacrifices to secure our future, and it is our duty to build on that foundation with enlightenment and education,” he said. “We stand united against all threats to our peace. With this youth, we are destined for a brighter and stronger Pakistan.”
