Deputy Commissioner Chakwal Sarah Hayat paid a surprise visit to the Maryam Nawaz School for Children – Centre of Excellence in tehsil Kallar Kahar, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Kallar Kahar Muhammad Afzal. During the inspection she reviewed classrooms and teaching activities, checked cleanliness and other administrative arrangements, and spoke directly with pupils to assess learning progress.
Ms Hayat asked students academic questions and praised their responses, noting the evident talents and abilities on display. She highlighted the Punjab government Special Education Programme that has established special education institutions at the tehsil level so differently-abled children can access quality education close to home.
The deputy commissioner lauded the work being done across Chakwal and Talagang and assured stakeholders that the district administration will provide full support to resolve issues affecting these centres. The commitment aims to strengthen special education provision so children can pursue their studies with focus and confidence.
