Improving Dental Education Standards with Health Ministry

A delegation from Aziza Naheed Dental College, led by respected Rizwan Cheema, met with Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal to discuss measures aimed at enhancing dental education standards and regulatory frameworks in the country.

Senior officials from the health ministry, including the Health Secretary, Additional Secretary, President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Director General (Health), and Dr. Farah Mazhar, also participated in the meeting. The discussions were productive and revolved around improving both the quality of dental education and strengthening regulatory oversight.

During the session, the delegation highlighted various policy-related challenges and offered recommendations intended to uplift the standards of education and facilities provided by dental institutions. Minister Kamal acknowledged the valuable input of the delegation and reaffirmed the government’s commitment towards ensuring that dental colleges across the country adhere to strict academic and regulatory standards.

All stakeholders agreed to work closely together in the future, collaborating on initiatives aimed at systematically raising dental education standards nationwide.
