Deputy Speaker met German MPs to advance Pakistan Germany ties, focusing on trade, renewable energy, vocational training and stronger parliamentary exchanges.

On 28 October 2025 in Islamabad, Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah received a German parliamentary delegation led by Member of Parliament Derya Turk-Nachbaur alongside Germany’s Ambassador to Pakistan Ina Lepel. The meeting centred on enhancing parliamentary engagement and practical cooperation between Pakistan and Germany.

Participants exchanged views on strengthening Pakistan Germany ties through sustained parliamentary dialogue and expanded economic collaboration. The delegation and host discussed past German support in education, energy, environment, vocational training and industrial development, highlighting areas where deeper cooperation could deliver tangible benefits in Pakistan.

The Deputy Speaker emphasised the role of the Pakistan-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group in bringing legislators from both countries closer, noting that direct coordination among parliamentarians can broaden bilateral ties. He underlined Pakistan’s interest in boosting trade links and attracting investment while prioritising renewable energy and skills development.

Discussions also focused on enhancing technical training and industrial cooperation to create employment and support sustainable growth. The Deputy Speaker stressed that increased exchanges between parliamentary delegations would strengthen people-to-people contacts and mutual understanding.

MP Derya Turk-Nachbaur reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to parliamentary diplomacy and continued cooperation with Pakistan’s legislature, while Ambassador Ina Lepel reiterated her country’s support for deeper economic and parliamentary relations. The Deputy Speaker thanked the visitors and expressed hope that the meeting would mark a new chapter in Pakistan Germany ties.
