ISLAMABAD: The District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad, while addressing a breast cancer awareness session, emphasised the importance of raising awareness among women about breast cancer.
Speaking on the occasion, the DHO said timely diagnosis, regular screening and prompt treatment were crucial for reducing complications of the disease and achieving better treatment outcomes.
The DHO said it was necessary to create awareness among women about the symptoms of breast cancer, early diagnosis and the need to seek timely medical advice regarding health concerns.
The DHO urged women to prioritise their health, undergo medical examination in case of any suspected symptom and seek guidance from qualified medical experts.
The awareness session was organised in connection with Pinktober, the breast cancer awareness month observed in October. The session aimed to promote awareness about breast cancer and inform women about the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment.
