Diamond Paints and FG/Din Polo clinched places in the subsidiary final of the Corps Commander Polo Cup after strong wins on the third day of competition at Jinnah Polo Fields. The tournament, sponsored by Newage Cables, drew large family crowds and an enthusiastic atmosphere, with Club Secretary Major (R) Adil Sultan Rao and several prominent players in attendance.

Operating under the American system, Diamond Paints opened their day with a 3–1 victory over Team Balochistan in a two-chukker match before edging Team BN 3–2 in a tightly contested game to confirm their berth in the subsidiary final. Their consistent performance across both matches highlighted disciplined defense and timely finishing when opportunities arose.

FG/Din Polo produced an emphatic 8–3 win over Master Paints to secure qualification. Sheikh Muhammad Raffay spearheaded their attack with four goals, Juan Cruz Greguoli added two, while Agha Musa Ali Khan and Sheikh Muhammad Farhad contributed one goal each. For Master Paints, Farooq Amin Sufi, Ahmed Ali Tiwana and Col (R) Omer Minhas found the net once apiece.

FG/Din set the tone early by striking four consecutive goals to open a 4–0 lead in the first chukka and extended that advantage with two more in the second to make it 6–0. They added another brace in the third chukka to move 8–1 ahead, before Master Paints rallied in the final chukka with two well-crafted goals that narrowed the gap but were not enough to change the outcome. The result left FG/Din comfortable winners and safely through to the subsidiary final.

The lively turnout at Jinnah Polo Fields and competitive displays from the qualifying sides underscored local interest in the Corps Commander Polo Cup, with both Diamond Paints and FG/Din now preparing for the next stage of the event.
