Digital Media win at Shalimar Ground as team beat National Media by 28 runs; Kashif Majid scored 62 and was named Man of the Match.

The friendly cricket match held at Shalimar Cricket Ground under the banner of the National Press Club Islamabad ended with a convincing Digital Media win, as the visitors defeated the National Media side by 28 runs.

Digital Media captain Ahmed Najeeb Satti won the toss and elected to bat. The team posted 138 for 7 in the allotted 15 overs, powered by a commanding 62 from opener Kashif Majid. For National Media, Abrar Estori stood out with a fine bowling spell, claiming three wickets while keeping the contest competitive.

Chasing 139, the National Media lineup reached 110 in 15 overs with Haroon Mughal top-scoring on 40. The result confirmed a 28-run margin and earned Digital Media the winning trophy, marking another strong showing for the side and underscoring the spirited nature of newsroom cricket.

Prizes and trophies were presented by the match guests of honour, Minister of State for Culture and National Heritage Huzaifa Rahman and Parliamentary Secretary Danial Chaudhry. Kashif Majid was named Man of the Match for his 62, while Abrar Estori received recognition as the best bowler for his three wickets. Captain Ahmed Najeeb Satti accepted the winning trophy on behalf of Digital Media.

The National Press Club organisers — president Abdul Razzaq Siyal, secretary Dr. Furqan Rao and finance secretary Abid Abbasi — were credited for their efforts in staging the fixture. The match highlighted both competitive cricket and camaraderie among media professionals, with the Digital Media win reflecting strong batting and timely bowling performances.
