The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has taken a significant step towards enhancing regulatory standards by organizing an extensive training session focused on implementing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. The event brought together more than 100 officers from DRAP and the Islamabad Capital Territory, aiming to strengthen their understanding and application of internationally recognized quality protocols within Pakistan’s regulatory system.

During the session, participants engaged in a detailed, clause-by-clause review of ISO 9001:2015 standards, examining how these principles can be integrated into the country’s existing regulatory processes. The training was led by Mr. Umer Habib, a lead auditor and trainer from TUV Austria, who shared expert guidance on applying quality management best practices in daily regulatory operations.

The event also featured a motivational segment titled “Leadership Theatre” presented by prominent speaker Mr. Adnan Azam. His address encouraged attendees to adopt a leadership mindset and embrace changes that prioritize quality and efficiency.

This capacity-building initiative marks a key achievement in DRAP’s ongoing efforts to embed quality, efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement within Pakistan’s regulatory framework.
