Druzhba 2025 brought together roughly two hundred military personnel from Russia and Pakistan for joint training within the Russian Southern Military District, where both armies carried out practical demonstrations of counterterror operations.
Russian participation came from special operation forces of the Southern Military District, units with extensive experience in counterterror activities, while Pakistan was represented by Pakistan Army special forces contingents.
The exercises focused on coordinated operational actions against international terrorism, allowing troops from both countries to rehearse tactics, improve interoperability and exchange best practices in field conditions.
At the conclusion of the drills, outstanding performers received awards and military officers from both sides exchanged commemorative gifts in line with established tradition, marking the shared efforts under Druzhba 2025.
First launched in 2016 and held alternately on the territories of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Druzhba 2025 aims to strengthen and develop defence cooperation between the two countries.
