Enhancing Education and Skills Through GIZ Cooperation in Pakistan

Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Ms. Farah Naz Akbar recently met with Ms. Sobiah Becker, an Advisor at GIZ, to discuss mutual collaboration in advancing education and skill development in Pakistan. Both officials emphasized their commitment to ensuring inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education, focusing particularly on sustainable reforms and capacity building.

During their discussions, the representatives explored strategies to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and GIZ, a German agency that supports international development cooperation. Ms. Akbar welcomed the sustained partnership and highlighted the need for joint initiatives addressing the key educational challenges in Pakistan.

Ms. Becker expressed GIZ’s ongoing support for the government’s educational priorities, underscoring the importance of capacity building programs and reforms tailored to local educational needs. She reaffirmed her organization’s readiness to offer technical expertise and resources to advance educational development and skill enhancement.

Both sides agreed to deepen existing ties and initiate new collaborative projects that respond to changing educational demands, drive systemic improvements, and produce lasting positive impacts. The meeting served as an important step toward strengthening support systems aimed at raising educational standards across the country.
