A significant step has been taken to empower women entrepreneurs in Upper Egypt as 69 women artisans across Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Minya have received vital tools and materials to support their businesses. The initiative is part of the Rabeha programme, led in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA).
The distribution saw 28 women from Fayoum, 24 from Beni Suef, and 17 from Minya benefit from packages specifically tailored to help them enhance productivity and improve the quality of their products. These resources aim to strengthen women-led micro and small businesses in the region, providing the foundational support needed for sustainable growth.
The effort was made possible through the collaboration of both organizations, with notable participation from MSMEDA team members Raafat George, Esraa Youssef, and Haytham El Beblawy. Their field presence during the distribution reinforced a sense of community trust and involvement.
This milestone is a significant move towards promoting inclusive economic growth and building a stronger future for women entrepreneurs across Egypt. The Rabeha programme continues to work towards expanding opportunities for women and driving economic empowerment in communities throughout the country.
