A lively two-day festival celebrating European languages brought students, families and cultural enthusiasts to the gardens of Alliance Française and Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus in Lahore.
The event was organised by Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus and Alliance Française de Lahore with support from the German Embassy Islamabad, the Ambassade de France au Pakistan and the EU Delegation. Local hosts opened their gardens to create a welcoming space for music, conversation and cultural exchange.
Activities included a vibrant concert on Friday followed by family-friendly music and learning events on Saturday. Attendees enjoyed opportunities to experience European languages through performances, informal language practice and interactive cultural activities that encouraged connection across communities.
Organisers noted that the festival reinforced the value of multilingualism and strengthened cultural ties between Europe and Pakistan. Those involved thanked all who attended and helped turn the gardens into a weekend of music, learning and shared cultural celebration of European languages.
