The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, conducted an English speech competition on 28 November 2025 as part of its ongoing intra-board co-curricular activities at SSC and HSSC levels to boost studentsโ confidence and enhance their skills.
Mr. Mirza Ali, Director (Test Development), welcomed a large gathering of students and teachers and reiterated that while FBISEโs primary mandate is to conduct examinations, the Board regularly organises co-curricular events to motivate youth. He said such initiatives gain meaning through enthusiastic participation and extended his best wishes to all contestants.
At the SSC level, Muhammad Afnan Abdullah of FG Public School, Wah Cantt secured first position, Khadija of Fauji Foundation College for Girls, Wah Cantt stood second, and Shayan Imtiaz of Army Public School & College, Ordnance Road, Rawalpindi claimed third position in the English competition.
At the HSSC level, Eman Zahra of Bahria College, E-8, Islamabad earned first position, Zainab Khan of PAEC Model College for Girls, Chashma, Mianwali finished second, and Ayesha Arshad of Scholars Science College, Wah Cantt took third place.
Concluding the event, the honourable chief guest Mr. Mirza Ali highlighted the importance of youth participation in co-curricular programmes, acknowledged the efforts of students and teachers, and encouraged continued engagement. The Board presented position holders with certificates and cash prizes and affirmed that FBISE English initiatives and similar programmes will continue to be organised to nurture student talent nationwide.
