Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui chaired a progress review meeting of the Federal Directorate of Education to assess current initiatives, identify challenges, and map out steps to improve the quality of education in federal government schools. He stressed the need for timely completion of ongoing reforms and urged the FDE to speed up efforts to enhance learning outcomes and school infrastructure.
The meeting concentrated on evaluating the status of ongoing programs and reforms under the FDE’s mandate. Participants reviewed implementation progress, highlighted bottlenecks affecting delivery, and discussed measures to ensure initiatives meet their intended objectives.
Dr. Siddiqui emphasized prompt execution of planned reforms and called for an accelerated pace of work across the directorate. He underscored that improving learning outcomes must remain a central priority and directed the FDE to undertake concrete actions to raise teaching and student performance standards.
School infrastructure was also a key focus. The minister instructed the FDE to prioritize upgrades and maintenance to create safer, more conducive learning environments, noting that physical facilities are integral to educational quality.
