Education Minister Reviews FDE Progress and Reforms

Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui chaired a progress review meeting of the Federal Directorate of Education to assess ongoing initiatives, address challenges and accelerate reforms aimed at improving learning outcomes and school infrastructure across federal government schools.

At the meeting, officials reviewed the status of current programs and projects under the Directorate, identifying bottlenecks that are delaying implementation. Participants discussed both administrative and operational issues that affect service delivery in schools and the progress of planned reforms.

Dr. Siddiqui stressed the importance of completing reforms on schedule and instructed the Directorate to speed up efforts where progress has lagged. He highlighted the need for measurable improvements in student learning outcomes and for tangible upgrades to school facilities to provide a better learning environment.

The Minister directed FDE to produce clear, actionable steps and to monitor implementation closely, ensuring accountability at each stage. Emphasis was placed on coordinated follow-up and prompt resolution of resource and management constraints that hinder reform progress.

The meeting underlined the federal government’s commitment to elevating the quality of education in its schools through timely reforms, improved infrastructure and strengthened oversight to deliver better results for students.
